Recent favorite:  Love Song by Sara Bareilles

I had heard this song many times after getting it as a free download from iTunes last summer, & I liked it a lot.  I thought that it was about a guy-girl relationship because that's what the lyrics seemed to mean, but then I was made aware that the song was Bareilles' response to her record company when they asked her to write a love song for her album.  The song has a completely different meaning when I listen to it with that in mind.  The video is very creative in getting across her point, as the girl feels like she's trapped inside the box, having to play songs for people whenever she's told to do so.  Who knew something so sarcastic could become so popular?

I heard that song in a commercial and really liked it.  I like it even more now that I know what it's about.
