Swing the Sickle Forum / Television and Film / Wall-E: Number 5 is Alive

There's a
teaser trailer out for Pixar and Disney's next love child titled
Wall-E. While it seems to have all the trappings of your normal Pixar fare, it looks a lot like
Short Circuit...just animated. Has anyone else noticed how the trailers for Pixar movies always set them up to be the next legendary animated film?

Not just the trailers--I think Pixar movies always try to be the next legendary animated film. Sometimes they succeed; sometimes not.

Maybe it's just because I've gotten older, but I don't enjoy the newer Pixar movies nearly as much as Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and Monsters Inc.

I think The Incredibles & the Toy Storys (Stories?) have been my favorites. The only one I didn't think was up to Pixar's usual standard was Cars. I haven't seen Ratatouille yet, though, so I don't know about that one.

The Incredibles is one of my favorite movies of all time. I would place it up there with Toy Story. I really didn't like Finding Nemo or Monsters, Inc. that much.
