If one of your favorite movies was to be re-made, which film would it be and which actor/actress would be the star? |

I heard about the Metropolis remake earlier tonight. Wouldn't surprise me if Jolie got Maria/Android, but I wouldn't call it a dream-cast. Maria is a very gentle, humble character, until the android replaces her. I don't know how well Jolie could pull off gentle. Maybe Cate Blanchett could do it. Based on how I love the original, I'll never think of anyone other than Bridgitte Helm as Maria. |

I think a live action of the anime classic Akira could be pretty freaking amazing if done right. I have no idea who would be the headliners though. I don't think it would have to be Japanese actors. |

Peter Jackson is producing The Hobbit, but he won't be directing. Who would be your dream director? Sam Raimi and Guillermo del Toro have both been named as possibilities. I think either would be an excellent choice. Christian film critic Jeffrey Overstreet thinks it should be Brad Bird, director of animated favorites Iron Giant, The Incredibles, and Ratatouille. Could he make the leap from animation to live action? Andrew Adamson seemed to make the leap from Shrek and Shrek 2 without any major problems. |
